A shallow foundation cannot hold a strong structure that is meant to survive the rain of pressure and stress. Our Spiritual sustenance depends on a very deep and strong foundation. Deep enough to withstand the heavy mounting structure that is constructed to shield us from the pressing demand of this world. Strong enough to rest a Solid Rock on the stratum of our of Salvation; Faith and Action. Knowing fully well that we cannot maintain our Salvation; Faith and Action on a shallow and sand foundation that tears and wears off; we should strive to stand on Christ; The Solid Rock. A shallow foundation is too feeble and fragile to withstand The WORD OF THE ROCK OF AGES.
So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the LORD had told Joshua; and they carried them over with them to their camp, where they put them down. Joshua set up the twelve stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day. Now the priests who carried the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything the LORD had commanded Joshua was done by the people, just as Moses had directed Joshua. The people hurried over, and as soon as all of them had crossed, the ark of the LORD and the priests came to the other side while the people watched. The men of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over, ready for battle, in front of the Israelites, as Moses had directed them. About forty thousand armed for battle crossed over before the LORD to the plains of Jericho for war. That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they stood in awe of him all the days of his life, just as they had stood in awe of Moses (Joshua 4:8-14, New International Version).
THE ROCK OF AGES is never connected with the powerless sinking shallow foundation. He does not orchestrate failures and defeat. A shallow foundation needs to be re-constructed by the Chief Builder in order to get it ready for the building of His Sanctuary and for His Pleasure. Receiving the honor to be called “The Temple of God” is only guaranteed if The Chief Architect/Builder is the designer and the builder of one’s life.
Acknowledging Him as “LORD! LORD” of one’s Life means one is living His Word which rests not on a shallow foundation but on the firm and sure foundation, which is Jesus Christ.
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law (Matthew 7:24-29).
Jesus Christ is the only Reason for Easter The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work (1 John 3:8).
Jesus died to set us free from the enemy. God’s mission was accomplished through the shedding of the Royal Blood that turned us to a Royal Priesthood.
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (1 Peter 2:9).
The foundation of our Faith rests on the Resurrection of Christ who has promised Eternal Life for 'whoever'.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
When they had carried out all that was written about him, they took him down from the cross and laid him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead, and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to our people. We tell you the good news: What God promised our ancestors he has fulfilled for us, their children, by raising up Jesus. As it is written in the second Psalm: You are my son; today I have become your father (Acts 13:29-33).
